My Parents' New House

We traveled to my parents' new house for the first time when we dropped the girls off for our trip.  It's an adorable bungalow-style cottage with so much character so I thought I would share some pictures!

The previous owners put a lot of care and money into historical restorations and improvements so it was basically move-in ready!

Many of the fixtures are restored originals and some replaced with vintage-finds.

I particularly love the top and bottom right.  So cool!

The windows and hardware were amazing too as you can see! And I wish I would've gotten more pictures of the kitchen, because this hardly does it justice.  The kitchen is a DREAM.

I love the white craftsman cabinets with the dark granite.

And since it was the 4th of July, the dining room was decorated for the occasion!

And a close-up of the treats on the table that Molly and my niece Abby helped my mom decorate.

Isn't it a neat house?  So much charm!

Thanks for the shout out on the house. We absolutely love it and feel so at home here. Wish I had known I just took some great pics of the kitchen. You could do an entire post just on the kitchen. I really enjoyed having you guys here and I especially enjoyed Camp Cookie 2012.

What a great house!! When I was little I always wanted to live in a house with a door like that. Random, I know..

It is so beautiful and unique! I want something exactly like this if/when we ever move. The arched doors are so cool.

The previous owner really knows how to care for the house! From the looks of it, they had a deep fascination for all the classic things. That door knob is absolutely beautiful! I think the age is also part of the charm of the house. You take a look at it, and mental images of milk delivery vans and old Chevy trucks immediately come up!

I commend the previous owner for a job well done in the preservation of this bungalow house! When you know how take care of your house, you’ll surely be able to sell it easily and at your desired cost. You found yourself a wonderful house that’s worth investing in! Congrats!

Whoa?! The fixtures look really cool, Katie, I like the ones that have an air of vintage in them. By the way, the dining room decoration is extravagant! It looks like a politicians' dining area. Haha!
