sweetie cakes!

I think Erik has been searching, mostly subconsciously, for a nickname for Molly since we got her home. It seems that Sweetie Cakes is where he landed! :) It's pretty cute.

He also spends lots of time trying to teach Molly new tricks! He was convinced this weekend that she knew how to point to her belly when he asked her where the "itty bitty baby belly was" :)

I told him I read a lot of baby blogs and that's something babies don't learn until 7-9 months but that didn't stop the hardcore training! And when she would happen to touch her belly (with flailing arms), he would cheer for her and tell her good job. I do realize that you have to start somewhere... I just want him to have realistic expectations! And I would hate to think that he would go around telling people she knows where her belly is while they all nodd and think, "man this guy is delusional." haha

Oh he also was convinced that he taught her how to wave at one point during the weekend :)

I try not to put her in front of the tv too much but at times when she is fussy she seems to enjoy it! And much to her dad's joy she especially seems to be interested in football! Maybe it's the bright green field and the uniforms?

She's sure is a cute little sweetie cake! Look at that face! Daddy for sure makes this baby smile (what her onesie says)

P.S. When I emailed Erik asking him what the 2nd thing was that he "taught" her this weekend this was his reply.... "Yes, she was learning how to wave. Go ahead and make fun of me on the blog and discount our babies intelligence! " LOL
